The fluvial mooring in Pieve di Coriano was born to exploit the Po river which, in addition to being the longest Italian river, is, together with its many tributaries, the only true river system of Italy, which and therefore is increasingly revalued. The work is basically a vessel used as a mooring for boats, small, medium and large, it consists of a varnished iron structure, resting on floating structures that follow the raisings and lowering of the river and is surmounted by an 18 meter long 8 meters wide platform in steel gratings covered in iroko wood. Here, there is a wooden cabin, while on the west side there are six steel rafts that make up the jetty for smaller boats. To complete the river mooring, there is a jib crane attached to a concrete platform supported by steel pillars anchored to the river bank. The management of the structure is entrusted to the Pieve rowing club - nautical circle "Il cormorano". The association was founded as a volunteer and democratic permanent center, without any profit, working for recreational and sporting purposes for the exclusive satisfaction of collective interests. Il Cormorano aims to introduce and practice sports such as rowing, swimming, and other nautical and other water sport activities in general, to enhance the touristic aspect of the Po river in the municipality of Pieve and in the coastal areas in all its naturalistic and landscape aspects, from culture to history to local products. It also wants to promote cultural, social and leisure activities and to carry out public mooring activities.
